# \[Midterm] Peer review

## Background

Peer review is an evaluation of scientific discovery conducted by other scientist ("peer"). It is one of critical parts of research in the scientific field by critically and rigorously assessing others by independent researchers (please see [details](https://www.elsevier.com/reviewers/what-is-peer-review)). For early career scientists, learning and experiencing the peer-review system is essential.

We are having the "peer review" process for our midterm period. You are given three portfolios made by other students (peers) and evaluate them as to their discovery and experimental/analytic procedures.

## Instruction

1. You are given three portfolios from other students - please find the GoogleSheet for the student list of your evaluation
2. Write down the summary and critiques of their works. Your comment has to be critically written: please avoid the comment like "I don't like this".
3. For each portfolio, you can write a 1 page comment. You can write less than a single page but you should put "page break" for each portfolio's comment.
4. The first page is your name (한글로), student numbers, course name (BSMS222 Biostatistics), and submission date. So for three students, it has to be \~4 pages.
5. On the first line of each page, you have to put the student name (한글로) of the portfolio.
6. Comment should be in English.
7. Font: Arial 12pt; Line spacing 1.5.
8. No figure or table is allowed.
9. Document has to be written by MS word or Google word, PLEASE DO NOT USE HWP.
10. Convert the docx file to **PDF**, and submit it to TA by Slack DM.
11. Due: **11/22 (Monday) 1 pm**.
12. Late submission allowed till 11/24 (Wednesday) 1 pm (with 70% score penalty)
